Darnell D Jackson is Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley in the Birmingham, Michigan office and the visionary leader and founder of The Jackson Group at Morgan Stanley. Darnell serves as primary investment policy and strategic portfolio manager, and relationship leader for key institutional, pension and cash management accounts. He is the relationship leader for specialized individual accounts servicing ultra-high net worth clients in specialty businesses, including healthcare, education and ecclesiastic organizations.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in March of 2009, Darnell spent over 25 years with Merrill Lynch where he was responsible for more than 9 ½ billion dollars of senior managed public and corporate finance projects in Southeastern Michigan, including the Ford Field Stadium and the new Detroit Metropolitan Airport. He started his financial career at Manufacturers National Bank of Detroit (Currently Comerica Bank). Darnell was named a Barron’s Top Advisor at the Barron’s Top Advisor Diversity Summit in 2013. Darnell also serves on the University of Michigan Economic Leadership Council and the University of Michigan’s Dean’s Advisory Council. He is a member of the Henry P. Tappan Society, The Henry Ford Hospital System – West Bloomfield Board of Trustees, and a former member of the New York Stock Exchange Hearings Board, former chair of the Hartford Headstart Agency, 2007 Chair – Global Wealth Management Advisory Committee to Senior Management on Diversity, Chairman of the Ethiopian North American Health Professionals Association Inaugural Dinner and board member of the Center for Urban Youth and former member of the Michigan Opera Theater Board of Trustees and Finance Committee and Founding Partner at Cornerstone Schools. Darnell has been featured or written articles in numerous national publications and magazines including The Wall Street Journal, Lawyers Weekly, Barron’s Fortune, Forbes, The Detroit Free Press, Conde Nast Traveler and Vanity Fair magazines.
