Spencer Smith (BS '11 Econ and Mathematics) has accepted a Marshall Scholarship. The Marshall Scholarship is a selective postgraduate scholarship which affords Americans an opportunity to study in the United Kingdom. Spencer plans to study economics at the University of Oxford.
Spencer graduated Phi Beta Kappa and won the Ferrando Honors Prize for the best graduating honors student in economics. His honors thesis was written under the supervision of Professors Steve Salant and Frank Stafford. Spencer currently works for the President's Council of Economic Advisors at the White House.
Michael Lippe (AB '65 Econ) retired to Shepherdstown, WV, after a 40-year career in international economic development with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) where he served mainly in Africa as a private consultant.

Bradley T. Raymond (AB '74 Econ) has served as general counsel for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters in Washington, DC, since 2006. This was after practicing labor law in Michigan for approximately 25 years.

Ron Heller ('76 Econ, MBA '79, JD '80) serves on the Land Use Commission of the state of Hawaii to which he was appointed by Governor Linda Lingle. He continues to practice law with the Torkildson Katz firm in Honolulu (tax and business litigation).
Kenneth Kim ('90 Econ) is associate professor of finance and chair of the MBA/MS Programs, at SUNY-Buffalo. “And, more importantly, I still root for the Michigan Wolverine football team."
