Stable isotope thermometry, structure of water and concentrated brines, genesis of granite and basalt, mantle processes, crustal xenoliths, sources of fluids in ore-forming processes, water-rock interactions, experimental studies of stable isotope effects, geochemical methods of earthquake prediction, paleoclimatology, theoretical aspects of stable isotope fractionation, biomineralization, mineral reaction mechanisms, clay diagenesis, oxygen isotope variations in biogenic phosphate, and the relation between chemical bonding and isotopic properties of minerals.
