Tracy Frank is Professor and Chair of the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she has been a faculty member since 2004. She currently holds a Susan J. Rosowski Professorship.  Tracy completed her undergraduate studies Iowa State University and did her graduate work at the University of Michigan, earning a Ph.D. in 1996.  She spent two years at Penn State as a NSF Postdoctoral Fellow before moving to her first faculty position at the University of Queensland in Australia.  Tracy’s research and teaching interests include carbonate sedimentology, geochemistry, and diagenesis.  Tracy currently serves on the Bureau of the International Association of Sedimentologists, and has been editor-in-chief of the society’s journal, Sedimentology, since 2012.  In her spare time, Tracy can be found gardening, walking, experimenting with new curry recipes, or shooing wild turkeys off her front doorstep.
