June is Pride Month, and at Michigan EARTH, we want to celebrate everyone in the LGBTQ+ community, not only this month but every month! We are committed to providing an educational environment that embraces diversity, promotes inclusivity, and strives toward unity.

There are a variety of LGBTQ+ resources students can utilize, including the Spectrum Center (a campus resource center dedicated to serving and supporting members of the U-M LGBTQIA2S+ communities) along with a number of student organizations on campus. The University of Michigan celebrates Pride in April to allow more student participation, thus there are no university events in June. However, the Ann Arbor Pride event takes place on August 5th in downtown Ann Arbor - all are welcome.

This month is also a time to remember the struggles of the past and be grateful for those who paved the way. Thus, let’s celebrate our differences and work towards a more inclusive world. Happy Pride Month!

P.S. Stop by the EARTH office (NUB 2534) and pick up some Pride-themed geology stickers!
