The NASA Software of the Year (SOY) Award was presented to the team behind the Landslide Hazard Assessment for Situational Awareness (LHASA) version 2.0 software. LHASA is a data-driven software created by scientists and engineers at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center based in Greenbelt, Maryland.

NASA's Software of the Yeare award is a prestigious recognition for excellence in software and is presented each year by NASA's Inventions and Contributions Board

Members of the LHASA development team include Pukar Amatya, Garrett Benz, Robert Emberson, Dalia Kirschbaum, William Medwedeff, Thomas Stanley, and Michigan Earth's very own Professor Marin Clark.
