Please join us in congratulating Michigan EARTH Affiliated Professor and Dean of the School for Environment and Sustainability Jonathan Overpeck for being elected into the National Academy of Sciences for distinguished and continuing achievements in original research. Dean Overpeck is an expert on climate change, climate-vegetation interactions, Earth history, environmental science, and sustainability.
Membership in the National Academy of Sciences is a widely accepted mark of excellence and is considered one of the highest honors a scientist can receive. Dean Overpeck is one of six University of Michigan faculty members inducted this year. Congrats on this prestigious and well-deserved honor!
