Once again, Michigan Earth Affiliated Professor Jonathan Overpeck's comments were featured in the New York Times. This time, Dr. Overpeck speaks on President Joseph Biden's upcoming announcement of measures aimed at protecting communities across the USA to deal with extreme weather and rising temperatures. 

“We know with almost perfect confidence that we are supercharging these heat extremes — we’re doing it by burning fossil fuels,” said Dr. Overpeck. “If we don’t stop the burning of fossil fuels, all of this continues to get worse.”
