We welcome the 2018 graduate student cohort to Ann Arbor and the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences. Some come to us from as far as China and Nepal. Others have moved cross-country from Nevada, California, and Washington or from places that are slightly closer (but still far), including North Dakota, North Carolina, Georgia and Vermont. All are excited to start their graduate careers at UM in our department, as we are to have them with us.
