April 28, 2023 - The Earth and Environmental Sciences Department hosted its annual Earth Commencement Reception in the North University Building "Fishbowl" on the final Friday of the 2022-23 academic year. This reception celebrated all the students who are part of the Class of 2023 here in the department. Michigan Earth faculty, staff, students and their families gathered together to share words and memories over drinks and appetizers.
This was Michigan Earth's second in-person graduation reception to take place since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. This reception came before the University of Michigan's formal graduation the following day on Saturday, April 29, which took place at Michigan Stadium
