Alumni Jim Hnat, Katy Keller, and Nick Olds, and their colleague Mike Foley, organized an afternoon short course for 20 students who learned about the geology and business aspects of natural gas exploration. The students overwhelmingly report having a great time and gaining insight that transcends what they learn in traditional classes. We plan to make such short courses a regular tradition, with one each fall and winter term.
