My favorite thing about teaching in CSP is...

...the opportunity to watch my students grow, both academically and in maturity, as they complete challenging courses at U-M.  I also appreciate the diversity of cultures and backgrounds that CSP brings to the classroom, making it an excellent place to teach!

From my classes, incoming students can expect...

...to work hard, and to have fun while learning.  We work on many challenging problems during class, but we enjoy solving them.

My favorite piece of advice for undergraduate students is...

...to start an assignment the day it is received, no matter the due date.  Looking over the assignment and thinking about the questions beforehand will help you earn a far better grade than waiting until the last minute.  The earlier you start on an assignment, the better off you will be in the course.

In my free time, I enjoy...

...spending time with my wife and my two boys, Joaquin and Elias.  Outside of family time, I enjoy running, biking and weightlifting.
