The paper "Climbing a slippery slope" discusses the motion of Newtonian drops deposited on liquid-impregnated surfaces induced by vertical vibrations.  It was just published online and will be part of the January 2020 issue of the Journal of Fluid Mechanics - the leading journal in the field.  Professor Deegan's research focuses on the dynamics of non-equilibrium systems and he is an expert in the behavior of water droplets.
