In the ceremony at the Michigan Union, President Ono presented four Henry Russel Awards to Mid-career faculty before presenting Anatol Rapoport Distinguished University Professor of Complex Systems and Physics, Mark Newman, with the Henry Russel Lectureship award. Mark then delivered a fabulous talk followed by a Q & A, (and some heckling from Carl Simon).

The special evening concluded with a dinner at the Univeristy of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA).

Congratulations again to Professor Newman on being awarded the university’s highest honor for senior members of its active faculty!
