Congratulations are in order!

Paisley Rekdal (MFA '96) has received the AWP Award Series for Creative Nonfiction for her book The Broken Country: On Trauma, A Crime, and the Continuing Legacy of Vietnam, which will be publisehd by The University of Georgia Press. Her newest book of poems, Imaginary Vessels, is forthcoming from Copper Canyon Press in November 2016.

For her first collection of poems, Music for a Wedding, Lauren Clark (MFA '14) received the Donald Hall Prize for Poetry, judged by Pulitzer Prize Winner Vijay Seshadri. Lauren is a poet and classicist who received multiple Hopwood Awards during her time in the program and held a Civitas Fellowship with InsideOut Literary Arts. She currently works at Poets House in New York City and collaborates with Etc. Gallery in Chicago. Music for a Wedding will be published by University of Pittsburgh Press in 2017.
