CWPS co-sponsors a wide variety of faculty projects in the College of Literature, Science, and the Art and the broader university—all of which serve to strengthen intellectual and cultural life on campus and beyond.

Co-sponsorships and small project grants are considered on a rolling basis. Departments and individual faculty may apply for up to $1000 in funds for a project or event co-sponsorship. Complete the application in full,  accompanied by a budget detailing anticipated costs with all sources of support listed (pending and confirmed). All information must be returned at least six weeks prior to the event.

Each year, CWPS solicits proposals for summer research or faculty-led projects related to the mission of World Performance Studies.

Grant awards ranging from $5,000-$7,500 are available to individual faculty members to pursue projects which include travel to domestic and international research sites. We encourage inventive ideas, especially those that involve thematic support for World Performance Studies. Successful proposals should demonstrate long-term scholarly impact, enhance the learning outcomes and experiences of U-M students, extend international collaborations, and leverage other sources of support. Funds may be requested for pilot projects or to supplement existing projects.

Next Application Deadline: Spring 2018, check back for details.
