One Day Computational Biology Camp for High School Students

MiRCORE is sponsoring, with WISE hosting through the GIDAS (Genes in Diseases and Symptoms) High School Club Program

A one-day introduction to medicine and genes for students with all levels of knowledge!

Campers will learn biology and genomics and how to perform real scientific disease research (disease of focus: Alzheimer’s) using computational methods. The campers may develop their interest in this emerging field of science, and gain insight into their career path in these areas.

Join the GIDAS club and students from around southeast Michigan at the second annual introductory computational biology camp! Have fun Learning about biology, genomics, and computational research methods!

This is open to any interested student, all genders. You don't need to have any experience, nor do you need to have a  GIDAS club at your school. This is an introduction to and training in computational biology, and it will prepare you for participation in our February 22 one-day competition if you are are interested!
