Finding a Math or Science Concentration

Thursday, March 22, 2012
12:00 AM
Great Lakes Room (4th Floor), Palmer Commons

This exciting event provides undeclared science and math students the “student perspective” on math/science concentrations from students who have declared their majors. A wide range of math/science concentrations will be represented at this event, giving undecided students an insider’s perspective on different math/science majors and some of the factors influencing the concentrators decision. Students may take this unique opportunity to ask about course and pro-gram requirements, departmental culture, faculty, career, research, study abroad, or other opportunities, etc. Get ready for an informative and entertaining evening!

All undeclared LSA students with an interest in math or science concentrations are invited to attend. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with declared LSA students from more than 15 different concentrations. These declared students will discuss how to declare concentrations, describe their concentrations and how they selected the program they did, provide “insider” information about the program, and explain what they hope to do after graduating.

The event includes free pizza, salad, breadsticks and soft drinks.

NOTE: Registration is limited and required.

Sponsored by: the Science Learning Center (SLC), Women in Science and Engineering (WISE), Comprehensive Studies Program (CSP), and LSA Academic Advising.
