Brenda Smith-Patten, Michael Patten

Brenda  Smith-Patten and Michael Patten from the Oklahoma Biological Survey visited the UMMZ Insect Division on 8/14 to seach for Odonata (dragonflies and damselflies)  specimen records from Oklahoma.  They found over 500 Oklahoma specimens, some dating as far back as 1918 (thanks to T.H. Hubbell, doing his stint with the U.S. Army at Fort Sill).  The data will be used in a forthcoming publication on the Odonata of Oklahoma.
