UMMAA Undergraduate Awards & Scholarship Opportunities

 

APPLICATIONS for the 2024 UMMAA UNDERGRADUATE AWARDS cycle have closed.

Applications were due by March 8, 2024, and applicants will receive decisions by March 29, 2024.

We invite U-M undergraduates in good academic standing who will be enrolled for at leat one semester after their funded summer project to apply for funding opportunities of up to $2,000 through the Museum of Anthropological Archaeology. These funds are designed to help students participate in a field or research opportunity related to anthropological archaeology. Priority will be given to Anthropology majors/minors who have not previously received Museum of Anthropological Archaeology awards or scholarships. 

The online application process requires:

  • an online application, which also includes a project description (no more than 500 words) and an itemized budget and an upload of  your unofficial U-M transcript in pdf format.
  • ONE faculty member or GSI to fill out and submit a recommendation form
