In early September, the Museum of Anthropological Archaeology is moving to the School of Education building.

Over the past two years, the UMMAA’s collection managers have moved millions of artifacts out of the Ruthven Museums Building and into better storage facilities at the Research Museums Center on Varsity Drive. Now Ruthven’s old wooden cabinets are empty, and it is time for the humans to move.

Cleaning and packing is already underway in most Ruthven ranges and offices. In the meantime, the UMMAA’s new space—on the third floor of the School of Education building—is under construction. Museum faculty, students, and staff expect to be moved into the SOE in early September.

Please check back for more details as the move date approaches.
