Archaeology at the University of Michigan spans two centuries. Two U-M museums hold the archaeology collections. This exhibit, which is co-curated by UMMAA Asian Archaeology and Ethnology curator Carla Sinopoli and Terry G. Wilfong, director of the Kelsey and curator of Graeco-Roman Egyptian Collections, celebrates 200 years of archaeology at U-M and focuses on the collections held by the University’s two archaeology museums: the Museum of Anthropological Archaeology, founded in 1922, and the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology, founded in 1928.
