Do you love writing?  Do you love working with your peers to improve their writing skills?  If so, The Sweetland Center for Writing’s Peer Consultant Program may have an opportunity for you.  We’re presently recruiting undergraduates in any discipline to train to be peer writing consultants.  Ideal candidates write well, enjoy collaboration, and demonstrate reliable and conscientious behavior.  They will also have 24 credits (not counting AP credits) by the start of next semester.  Multilingual students are encouraged to apply.

Complete applications include the following:

  1. The completed form.
  2. A sample of academic writing from a University of Michigan course. (Writing from any discipline except creative writing is fine.)
  3. A confidential letter of recommendation speaking to your abilities as a communicator, writer, and tutor from a University of Michigan instructor.
  4. An unofficial copy of your transcript.
  5. An essay based on the prompt that appears in the application form.

The application deadline is Monday, March 24, 2014, 7:00am
