Congratulations to Sociology Major Meredith Fox! She has received the Sweetland Center for Writing's 2017 Granader Family Prize for Excellence in Upper-Level Writing (Social Sciences).

Meredith won for a paper she wrote in Sociology 310: Sociological Research Methods, titled "Would You Know It If You Saw It?: Gender Differences in College Students' Ability to Identify Sexual Assault". Meredith's paper was nominated by her Soc 310 GSI, Kimberley Hess. Professor Rachel Best is the lead faculty member for the course.

Meredith's winning paper will be available to download from Sweetland's "Writing Prizes" page after April 19th.
