The SLC maintains a small lending library of materials, some of which contain readings or activities for course assignments. Other materials are in the SLC collection and are meant to supplement required materials.
Course Reserves - Many instructors place materials on reserve at the SLC. Typically, these items are available on a "room use only" basis. The majority of course reserve items are course textbooks, handouts, and journal articles.
Circulating Library of Books and Journals - The SLC collections include editions of textbooks not currently assigned in courses, science titles of general interest, test and resume preparation guides, science reference works, videotapes and learning kits.
The SLC also subscribes to a number of science related journals that can be read within the center. See below for a list of journals available at the SLC.
Videos, Software and Multimedia Kits - The SLC circulating collection includes a number of educational videos, software for loan, and kits. Available titles can be viewed by browsing the open bookshelves in the SLC's main study area or see below for a list of some available titles.
Do you have any ideas about other items the SLC might carry in our study aids? Send us your suggestions.
