The Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures and the Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies are offering scholarships of $1,000 for Czech language study at U-M during the 2017-18 academic year.
Open to all U-M undergraduates studying the Czech language with the intent to continue studies for at least one academic year. Students must complete two consecutive terms (Fall 2017 and Winter 2018) of the appropriate Czech language sequence and receive a grade of B- or better in both courses.
Students must apply in the Fall 2017 term, by the end of the first week of classes to be considered for the scholarship.
Interested students should apply via the application.
Applications are reviewed by a selection committee; students will be notified of their scholarships in mid-September.
Scholarships will be disbursed to students upon successful completion of the Winter term, after grades have been submitted and evaluated.
