Screening of "Toilet Training: Law and Order in the Bathroom"

Wednesday, April 16, 2014
12:00 AM
G127, Angell Hall

The RCSSCI 360 Transgender Politics and Community Activism class would like to invite you to a movie screening and discussion event this Wednesday, April 16th from 8:00-9:30pm in Room G127 of Angell Hall. At this event, we will watch the 25-minute documentary Toilet Training: Law and Order in the Bathroom. This documentary showcases the challenges, discrimination, and harassment that people who transgress the gender binary system face in gendered bathrooms.

After watching the documentary, we will have discussions. These discussions will examine the intersection of access to bathrooms for people who are trans* identified or who do not identify with the gender binary and people with disabilities, talk more about how these issues impact the social climate at U of M and in the Ann Arbor community, and next steps that we can take.

This event is free to anyone (students, faculty, staff, community members etc.) and will also have free food! The event is accessible through ramps, will have enough room for wheelchairs and motorized scooters, and all service dogs will be welcome. The movie will include subtitles. If you have any further questions about accessibility, or anything regarding the event, please feel free to email
