Bill Chopik has been named by Forbes Magazine as one of their 30 under 30 in the science field.  An assistant professor of psychology at Michigan State, Chopik researches interpersonal relationships and how they change over time. He’s focused on how types of relationships--best friends vs. romantic partners--develop and affect health differently, and also looks at other settings, such as relationships contributing to burnout in the workplace.

Eric Kim has been named by Forbes Magazine as one of their 30 under 30 in the healthcare field.  Kim, a researcher at Harvard School of Public Health, is probably most famous for his research showing that feeling you have a life purpose is good for your health. Other things you can do: Be optimistic and have an optimistic partner. Kim is working with the AARP to apply his findings to real life.

Reda Jaber is also named in the healthcare field. Jaber is a partner with Michigan-based company IncWell. With investments in 37 companies, IncWell claims to be the most active venture fund of its kind in the Midwest. Jaber, who has a medical degree and an MBA, leads healthcare investments for the fund. His portfolio includes a virtual reality vision therapy system and a company working on cervical cancer screening.
