The date of the Physics Undergraduate Graduation program coincides with the date of the University’s Spring Commencement; usually the Friday before Commencement. The 2019 Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019.
Where is the Physics commencement?
The Physics Commencement Ceremony and Reception is held in 337 and 340 West Hall.
When will I receive information about commencement?
Invitations are sent out to graduating physics students in early April.
What if I apply late for graduation?
Please stop by Physics Student Services (1440 Randall Lab; Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to receive an invitation.
What if I graduated in December or will graduate in August?
All physics students graduating during the current academic year (Fall 2018, Winter 2019, Spring/Summer 2019) are welcome to attend the ceremony and reception.
Do I need to RSVP?
Yes, please RSVP to Angela Sands, Undergraduate Program Coordinator at 734.936.0659 or email@example.com. The RSVP deadline is April 25, 2019.
How many guests are allowed per graduate?
Due to the size of our venue, seats will be limited. Each student may bring four guests. There are no tickets for our graduation program. If you require additional guest seats, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We may or may not be able to accommodate requests for additional seats.
What is the dress code?
Business Casual; please no jeans. Students do not need to wear graduation cap and gown attire.
What about parking?
The closest public parking structure is located at the Forest Street Structure (located at South University and Forrest Street). More parking options can be found on the U-M transportation and parking website.
Is photography allowed?
Yes, photography is allowed.
