HEP - ASTRO SEMINAR | A Dynamic Nucleus: A Look at Fast Nucleons, Quarks, and Correlations

Monday, December 7, 2015
12:00 AM
335 West Hall

We have learned a great deal about nuclear dynamics by probing the behavior of nucleons and quarks inside bound systems during Jefferson Lab’s 6 GeV era. There were unexpected results and surprising connections made along the way. We will review the results from studies of nucleon-nucleon correlations, how they may be connected to quark distributions in bound nucleons and discuss future plans that aim to elucidate that connection.
