Graduate students Alex Silk and Daniel Singer have been granted 2012 Rackham International Research Awards. These awards are to support doctoral and master’s students conducting degree-related research outside the United States and Puerto Rico. Applicants must have a very strong academic record, demonstrate outstanding scholarly and professional promise, and have a feasible research plan and timetable. Alex Silk will be preforming research at Australian National University this July. His project is titled “The meanings of normative terms and why it matters for ethical theory”. Daniel Singer will also be traveling to Australia to conduct research on his project, “Doxastic normativity”.
