The Atonement Project’s goal is to bring together people whose lives have been shaped by crime and incarceration so that we can join our efforts to prevent further harm to our families, loved ones, and communities. The Atonement Project Uses a cross section of art forms including creative writing, visual art and theater. The art produced in workshops will be featured on an interactive website that will allow the community to interact with workshop participants both in and outside of prison.
Starting Saturday, we will be holding a weekly workshop in Detroit at the Brightmoor Community Center from The workshops will be facilitated by TED speaker, writer and native Detroiter Shaka Senghor and students from the University of Michigan. Please feel free to bring your family and friends!
