Our student interns are an essential part of our office, playing a role in everything from day-to-day operations to ambitious projects. Throughout their experience working in the Hub, interns develop their professional skills—such as effective communication, research, and project management—and receive coaching and support throughout the process.
All interns divide their time between the Hub’s information area and their respective teams—in student engagement, internships, learning, data and systems, or communications. Positions are paid, and are available for spring, summer, fall, and winter terms.
Applications for 2019-2020 internships have closed. Please check back in February for applications for 2020-2021 positions postings.
Student Advisory Team
Do you have insights and ideas about how the LSA Opportunity Hub can effectively work with you and other students?
Join our Student Advisory Team (SAT) and help shape the Hub’s programs, services, and marketing while developing your own professional skills. SAT is a group of 50 to 100 LSA undergrads who meet at least once a semester to provide feedback to Hub staff that will eventually impact the rest of the college’s 18,000-plus students, so the role is an important one.
Selected students will be expected to commit for at least one semester to a minimum of one focus group or gathering, and provide an honest, thoughtful representation of the student perspective. In return, participants are given a host of professional development opportunities to choose from, including (but not limited to):
- Access to networking opportunities
- Access to LSA alumni and employers
- Leadership experience
- Recommendation letters and references
Applications for fall 2018 have officially closed. Check back here in April 2019 for updates on next year’s advisory team recruiting.
