James Lawniczak is a senior in LSA double majoring in Honors Chemistry and Honors Mathematics.  James has conducted research in multiple chemistry labs at U-M (Brent Martin and Melanie Sanford) as well as summer research as a Harvard-Amgen Scholar.  He tutors fellow Chemistry students as a Structured Study Group leader and is founder and president of the Philosophy of Scientific Ideas and Technology club.  James is a 2016 Honors Summer Fellow, working on a thesis on "green chemistry."  He won the 2016 Goldwater Scholarship to support his future STEM research career.
