Robert Denver has been named a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, an honor bestowed upon AAAS members by their peers.

Denver is the chair and professor of molecular, cellular and developmental biology, and ecology and evolutionary biology. He has been recognized for "distinguished contributions to the field of comparative neuroendocrinology, particularly for understanding hormone actions during brain development at molecular and organismal levels in varying environments."

Denver is one of 13 scientists and engineers named fellows this year from the University of Michigan. This year, 416 members have been awarded this honor by AAAS because of their scientifically or socially distinguished efforts to advance science or its applications.
