Professor Emeritus Maxwell Reade passed away at his home on April 13, 2016, two days after his 100th birthday. Reade was an active faculty member in the Department of Mathematics from 1946 to 1986, and continued after his retirement to help students from around the world pursue the study of mathematics. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 9 at 1 p.m. at the First Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Ann Arbor, 4001 Ann Arbor-Saline Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48103.
