The Ph.D. Program is broken up into three distinct stages, each characterized by their own set of requirements. Details for each stage can be found by clicking the links below.
|Stage 1||This stage begins with admission to the Doctoral Program and ends with the completion of the Qualifying Review. Students must complete this part of the program by the beginning of their sixth term, but the expectation if that it will be completed much earlier.|
|Stage 2||This stage commences with successful completion of the Qualifying Review and finishes with admission to Candidacy. Most students complete this phase in 12 to 18 months.|
|Stage 3||This stage begins with admission to Candidacy and finishes with a successful Thesis Defense. This is the most difficult part of the Program. No student should expect to complete it in less than twenty-four months.|
