Diane Larsen-Freeman delivered a plenary address at AILA (Association Internationale de Linguistique Appliquée) or the International Association of Applied Linguistics on August 28th in Beijing at the Association's triennial world congress.  Diane's plenary was entitled:  "Saying what we mean:  Making a case for 'language acquisition' to become 'language development.'"

She also delivered a plenary address this September at the annual conference of the British Association of Applied Linguistics, held this year in Bristol.  Diane's plenary was entitled "Using a Complexity Theory Lens to Understand the Use of Repetition in Language Teaching."
