The outcome of this project will be the creation of an interactive website based around the material studied in Clarch/Histart 221. The aim is to engage students in active and incremental learning, supporting participation in sections and helping them assimilate the basic skills and material taught by the course. In addition, the site will be a resource available to students studying higher level courses whose skills or knowledge need refreshing or bringing 'up to speed' (most upper level courses do not have pre-requisites so frequently include students who have no taken 221). By adding this resource to those already available to students, we therefore plan to make the course more effective as a learning environment, and also to enhance study of Greek archaeology at UM more generally. We hope that the site will also make the course more attractive to potential students in future years.
