The Effects of the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki is one of the most important documentaries ever made, yet it remains inaccessible in the National Archives. This project will build a complex DVD of the film, featuring a wide variety of versions designed for different kinds of pedagogy. More fundamentally, the project is also an experiment with the little-used "stories" function in the DVD code. I investigate how stories could provide a more powerful way of creating audio commentary for DVD-bound works.
