This project will bring digital video clips to the students in Anthropology 101, showing them how gibbons brachiate and chimpanzees recognize themselves in a mirror, how regional accents may be associated with stereotypes about the speaker's intelligence, and the working conditions of sweatshop laborers, among other examples. This generation of students is visually-oriented. New technologies make it possible to illustrate the course narrative through digital media. I strongly believe that we need to 'put anthropology in motion' in order to reach our students.
