I propose to develop animations (FLASH and Quicktime) of physiological pathways (both cellular and organ system) for instruction in MCDB 418 (Endocrinology). I currently use static diagrams for instruction, but my recent experience teaching Bio 225 convinced me that animating these systems/pathways greatly enhances learning. I plan to apply this approach to Bio 225 in the future. I therefore am requesting funds to support animation development by the 3D animation laboratory on North Campus.
