Catherine Fairfield, Michelle May-Curry, and Eshe Sherley

Congratulations to Catherine Fairfield (English & women's studies), Michelle May-Curry (American culture), and Eshe Sherley (history) on their selection as Humanities Without Walls Pre-doctoral Fellows for 2018.

Graduate students selected for this program will engage in intensive discussions with organizers of public humanities projects, leaders of university presses and learned societies, experts in the various domains of the digital humanities, representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, and holders of important non-faculty positions in colleges and universities. The workshop, facilitated and directed by the Chicago Humanities Festival (CHF), takes place in Chicago.

The Humanities Without Walls (HWW) is a consortium of humanities centers at 15 research universities, including the U-M Institute for the Humanities, throughout the Midwest and beyond, funded by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
