Kickoff for the Class of 2019 begins in iconic Hill Auditorium at 10a, featuring a performance on the Frieze Memorial Organ (and your first time to sing "The Victors" on campus), as well as guest speakers who will examine the summer book, What Money Can't Buy. (View this Edison Talk by the author, Professor Michael Sandel, on YouTube.)
Students will join in discussion groups, meeting back at the flagpole on the Diag for lunch. In the afternoon, an Honors RA-sponsored event, "Know Your Campus," takes place with games and prizes.
In coordination with University Housing, early move-in was arranged for Thursday, September 3, so that students may attend Honors Kickoff activities. Please check with Housing if you have specific questions related to times and other details.
Some students are not available due to other program activities, such as U-M band rehearsal, and are excused from attendance.
