Rebekah Pite (PhD 2007) wins two book prizes for her Creating a Common Table in Twentieth-century Argentina: Dona Petrona, Women and Food.

Rebekah's Creating a Common Table (University of North Carolina Press) won a 2013 Gourmand Prize for the "Best Latin America Cuisine Book" published in the United States. 

More recently at the Latin American Studies Association, the Southern Cone Studies Section awarded her the 2014 Social Sciences Book Prize.
