We at History of Art are pleased to welcome the Museum Studies Minor to the department. Previously the minor's director, Bradley Taylor, reported to the LSA Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education, however last year LS&A shifted the home and administrative responsibilities for the minor to the Department of History of Art.

The Museum Studies Minor has a decidedly interdisciplinary focus. Students in anthropology, art & design, American culture, art history, and architecture, to name a few, minor in museum studies as a way of improving understanding of culture and society as well as preparing for an increasingly competitive job market. So while the home (both on the web and administratively) of the minor may have changed, the interdisciplinary nature program and the offices in the lower level of UMMA, have not.
