Medium in Material is a piece that functions as part sculpture, part film viewing experience. Light and color, the bare constructive elements of film, are highlighted through the projector's intimate, yet exposed relationship with the reflective sculptural objects that act as cubic screens. These screens are illuminated by a projection of hand-colored 16mm film loops. This illumination creates colorful flashes of light that serve as an allusion to the origins of the film image and its experiential capabilities.
