make a tenure-track appointment in the field of Creative Nonfiction to begin September 1st, 2019.
This is a university-year appointment. We seek applications from emerging writers who have

a cover letter, CV, writing sample (no more than 25 pages), statement of current and future
research plans, statement of teaching philosophy and experience, evidence of teaching
excellence, and three letters of recommendation by September 28th. The English Department
and Residential College are committed to the core values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and
we encourage all applicants to comment, either in the cover letter or in a separate statement on
how their research, teaching, and/or service experience will enhance our efforts to support
these values and the needs of an increasingly diverse student population.

The University of Michigan is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer and is supportive
of the needs of dual career couples. Women and minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
All applications will be acknowledged.
