Poland and Eastern Europe

Program Overview

The International Internship Program has placements in Poland and several other Eastern European countries!  Interns interested in writing and publications, international development and micro-fiance, post-conflict resolution, and civil and political rights should apply to gain valuable professional experience. Internships last for approximately 6-10 weeks from May-July.


Living Arrangements and Compensation

Internship positions are unpaid. Housing costs vary, but typically can be found in the city centers and employers are willing to help with arrangements.

General LSA International Internship Applications are due December 1, 2015.

Funding

For area-specific funding, contact the Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia at wcee.fellowships@umich.edu. Deadline for funding applications is March 15, 2016.

Health Insurance

All U-M students traveling abroad in a U-M-affiliated program are required to purchase HTH Heath Insurance which cost $1.10/day.  You may register at: http://www.uhs.umich.edu/tai.  You will also register your travel details and contact information through MCompass.
