Name of position: Canadian House of Parliament, Canada
Location: Ottawa, Canada
Dates of internship: Approximately May 15 - July 15
Responsibilities: Interns work at the House of Parliament, working in a Member of Parliament's office and learning about the inner workings of the Canadian government for a period of five weeks. These internships are arranged through the Political Science Dept at UM Dearborn. Students completing these program may elect to get French credit for the internship and join the French Internship Program.

Position: Part-Time Customer Relationship Manager (CRM)

A CRM will effectively onboard and train customers.
Some examples of tasks include but are not limited to:
Participate in occasional meetings with customer, as needed, via Skype or in-person, as appropriate to the purchased service plan.
Launching and maintaining a website, editing of content provided by customers
Running email marketing campaigns on behalf of customers
Creation of forms to implement lead generation and e-commerce systems
Update and maintain details and correspondence through customer support system.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Excellent customer service orientation and ability to learn new skills
1-5 years experience with customers in a sales or customer support role
Excellent email etiquette skills including good command of the English language
Some knowledge of WordPress, Typepad, Formstack, Mad Mimi, GoDaddy domain and managed hosting, FreshBooks, Google Apps for Work, Google Analytics.
Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS and image editing skills
Compensation: Hourly compensation is an average CAD$30 per hour and is based on service plan.
Technical and Non-technical training is provided, and time spent during training is compensated as part of this position.
